Yearning was an atmospheric doom metal band from Finland formed in 1996. The last known line-up had Juhani Palomäki, who died on May 15'th of 2010, doing vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards. The band at times featured live and session musicians such as Matti S. on guitars, Jani Loikas on bass, Jouni Huttunen on key boards, and Aki Kuusinen and on drums. Former members of the band before the last known line up included Lady Tiina Ahonen and Janne Rämö on vocals, Tero Kalliomäki on guitars, Petri Salo on bass, Antti Ahonen on keyboard, and T. Kristian on drums. The band was last signed under Holy Records but is now split up.
