Tomoe Shinohara is a pop/dance artist from Japan. Founded by members of Denki Groove (who produced her first record, "Super
Model", in 1996), Tomoe started her career out as a spunky, energetic and creative figure in the JPop world. From the get-go,
her music was also acclaimed for its bizarre, hyperactive style, which took various musical influences, and blended them into

her music was also acclaimed for its bizarre, hyperactive style, which took various musical influences, and blended them into
one psychedelic-tinged listen. By the turn of the new millennium, however, Tomoe already evolved into a mature woman, with a
toned down, more grown up personality. Tomoe is also known for her humorous, off the wall celebrity interviews, interviewing
stars such as TLC, Tim Burton, and Robin Williams. In 2005, Tomoe returned from a 5 year hiatus with the successful single "Aso
Fever". "Aso Fever" was later the opening for the cult anime, Zatch Bell. She also recently released two mini-albums: "Oh Yes
Say Lala" and "Better", her first two albums in over a decade. They were acclaimed for their much more mature, mellow nature.
The albums also channeled various worldly influences, and further pushed her experimental sound to unseen, grown-up heights. « hide |
