Mercy Mercedes are the new celebrities of the North Carolina music scene. You will find them rocking out at your favorite venue and you may even run into them at the local bowling alley on any given night. Their catchy chorus and dance hooks are the driving force behind the wheel of their fine tuned machine that is going to bring them from small town boys to national stardom. Mercy Mercedes shacked up with producer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Cute Is What We Aim For, Moneen) for a week in July to record their debut EP titled “Casio Rodeo”. The recording was mastered by UE Nastasi (Panic! At The Disco, Sherwood) at Sterling Sound. “Casio Rodeo is going to get everyone to dance” says the band’s guitarist Matt Lovell. They have spent the last year playing every venue in North Carolina with bands like Boys Like Girls, Fall Out Boy, and Cartel and now they are hitting the open road to tour non stop. Armed with a van and an eagerness for success, Mercy Mercedes will be coming to a city near you. The bass player Tom Donahue says “Our goal is to hang out with as many fans after the shows as possible.” That is exactly what they will do. « hide
