Jason Becker was the guitarist of the speed metal band Cacophony which also featured Marty Friedman of Megadeth. In the late 80's Jason made a couple of solo albums before getting the job as guitarist for David Lee Roth's band. But while recording an album with Roth, Jason was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrigs disease and is now confined to a wheelchair. He continues to write music through computers and is still releasing cd's. In 1990 he was voted by Guitar World magazine as best new guitarist as well as most likely to become a guitar legend.
