Wild Turkey was formed by bassist Glenn Cornick after leaving Jethro Tull. The lineup included John Weathers who formerly played with Gentle Giant. The band recorded two albums in the 1970s before disbanding for some time. Their debut album Battle Hymn was produced by Rodger Bain who also produced albums by Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Budgie and Barclay James Harvest They have recorded a few more albums since then.
