Time’s Forgotten is a progressive rock/metal band born in the year 2004 in San José, Costa Rica, with the intention ofexperimenting with diverse textures and sounds to be merged with rock and heavy metal music, including electronic/trip-hop,world and folk elements.After working on the production of their first album “A Relative Moment of Peace”, during a two and a half year period, therecord was released in August of 2006, surprising the Costa Rican market with very considerable sales. The band’s first liveshow, in November of that same year at the Eugene O’Neill Theater, was completely sold out.In January of 2007 the band played their first album live for the second time, doubling the attendance of their first show, onthis occasion at the beautiful Amphitheatre of the National Center for Culture of Costa Rica (CENAC). The band was having alot of success from the start at a national level.For the band’s third show, Time’s Forgotten was invited to participate in one of the most important progressive rock festivals:the Baja Prog Festival in Mexicali, Mexico, where they shared the stage with some of the greatest names in the progressivegenre, such as Focus, Tony Levin’s Band and The Rudess/Morgenstein Project among many others.During the next few years, Time’s Forgotten shared the stage with international bands such as Angra from Brasil, EZOO andCAST from Mexico, and made several more important appearances in Costa Rica.In 2009, the band released their second album called “Dandelion” which got great reviews on magazines and webzines suchas Classic Rock (UK), Rock Hard (Germany) Lords of Metal (Germany), Power Play (UK), Rocktimes, Strutter Magazine, andmany others, including an appearance on the important Prog Power USA promo CD with the song “Second Time”.2010 comes along with the release of their first ever video for the song “Second Time”, the first single out of Dandelion. Inthis same year, Time’s Forgotten won the national music award for Best Album in the Progressive Rock genre from ACAM inCosta Rica for that same album.In 2011, Time’s Forgotten started the production of their third album entitled “The Book of Lost Words”, released andpresented to the audience with amazing success at the Melico Salazar Theater in June 2012 alongside the release of theirsecond music video for the first single of this new album, which is “Disconnected”.In this third album we have the honor of having a guest appearance by the legendary bass player Michael Manring on thesong “River”.The band’s career has been taking new steps ever since: bigger venues like the Melico Salazar Theater, the National Stadiumof Costa Rica and The International Arts Festival (FIA) of Costa Rica among others, displaying a new and more mature stageof the band, where supported by the loyal fans the band has acquired over its path, Time’s Forgotten has found the soundand direction they will follow into their future and hopefully lead them to international success.source: http://timesforgottencr.com/?page_id=43 | https://timesforgotten.bandcamp.com/ « hide |
