The Last Shadow Puppets is a super-group fronted by two of the finest men in England, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Miles Kane (ex-The Rascals). After meeting in 2007 during a tour that both of their respective bands participated in, they forged a friendship both on stage andoff. They finally started seriously bouncing musical ideas off each other, and they both agreed something worked between them. They finally started seriously bouncing musical ideas off each other, and they both agreed something worked between them. From the conception ofThe Last Shadow Puppets they both agreed that there would be a heavy emphasis on orchestral strings. Owen Pallet, canadian composer andconductor extraordinaire, who carefully composed parts for each of the songs that were recorded by a 22 piece orchestra in London, England.They released their debut album "The Age Of The Understatement" on April 15, 2008.After many rumors and speculation for a follow up, on October 2nd, 2015 they officially announced an album would be released sometime in spring 2016. « hide |
