The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black are a punk/hard rock band from NYC. Since their formation in 1989, the group earned a decent-sized cult following for their sexualized, heavy performance-art concerts, as frontwoman Kembra Pfahler has been a performance artist for the majority of her career. Karen Black have released a few singles and three full length albums, their latest being “Black Date”, which was released in 1998. Although they have remained largely inactive since, they are still known to periodically tour.
