The Studs were a rock band formed by Daisuke (formerly Kagerou) and aie (formerly of Deadman, a fellow indies band that disbanded in 2007). yukino (formerly of GULLET) and Hibiki also joined on bass and drums, respectively. Also worth noting is that aie, yukino, and Hibiki previously worked together in the band kein, and yukino was also a part of Deadman in 2000. Five days after the release of alansmithee, The Studs announced an indefinite hiatus which would begin July 20, 2009.
