Chris first picked up a guitar at the age of six. He's a killer guitarist now, and never fails to amaze during his exceptional solos. Scott Owen first started learning bass when he was seventeen. He began learning on a double bass...which was necessary for the Rockabilly image they were aiming for in their music. Their first drummer was Joe Piripitsi, who heard the boys jamming one day and asked if he could join. Joe stayed long enough to witness the release of two EPs: Hellbound and It's For Your Own Good. Joe left the band after some time, to be replaced with Trav Dempsey. Trav assisted in the production of The Living End's first album (self-titled) and Roll On. He left shortly after Roll On and the potentially fatal car accident Chris Cheney had, which could have put his guitar playing days to an abrupt end.
