The Heartland are a five-piece "experimental" band hailing from Lancaster, Ohio. They are currently signed to Creep Records and as of 2009 have released two full-length albums, a couple of EP's, and a recorded demo. Utilizing two guitarists and dual-vocal schemes (coming from a single dedicated vocalist and the bassist) they commonly receive a 'mathcore' tag but it is clear from their latest releases that the band is taking a much more melodic approach to their music. Actually, it is clear from their latest full-length release (Frontier) that the band is taking MANY different approaches to their music.
