The Bossa Nova Beatniks are an American band from Long Island, NY. They where born in Greenwich Village in 1992 and have been playing in
and around the New York Area ever since making seventeen CD's along the way.
"We got together and began to try and make the sound suggested by the name Bossa Nova Beatnik. Now, we don't want to get too bent about a
silly band name after all, but as we subscribe to the philosophies of both Beatnik and the Bossa Nova, we felt it would be a fun way to go for a
while."
The Bossa Nova Beatniks are: Tom Gould - Vocals/Bass/Guitar; Jerry Dugger - Guitars/Bass/Vocals; George Vahamonde - Drums; and Tim
Stapleton - Vocals/Percussion/Piano/Guitar.
