Tan Dun was born in 1956 and started his career in the famous Peking Opera. He is known to many for his work on the 'Crouching Tiger, hidden Dragon'soundtrack. But he also composed the symphony that was played 1997 during the ceremony of the re-union of Hong Kong with China.
