Straight Line Stitch (sometimes abbreviated SLS) is a five-piece metalcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee that formed at the turn of the century and self-released EP and an album in the early 2000s. Alexis Brown made her recording debut on Straight Line Stitch's second self-released album, To Be Godlike, in 2006, after which the lineup behind her solidified in the form of guitarists Pat Pattison and Seth Thacker, bassist Jason White, and drummer Patrick Haynes. In 2007 the band recorded EP "The Word Made Flesh" in Knoxville,Tennessee with producer MiAH at The Sound Lair. The band released When Skies Wash Ashore, which became its first album to be given a national release on August 19, 2008.
