In 1981, she became the main vocalist of The Sunsetz, which later changed its name to Sandii and the Sunsetz. The group had decent success in Japan, and also managed to develop a small international following due to some of their releases being pressed in Australia, Europe and the US. By 1991, however, the group disbanded, and Sandii then resumed activities as a prolific solo artist. She has since been acclaimed as one of the most unique and breakthrough female vocalists of the 1980’s in her home country. « hide |
