Pete Murray is a solo artist from Queensland, Australia, who has achieved significant success in Australia, with his first two albums Feeler and See The Sun. Murray performs and records with the band The Stonemasons while he is the lead singer and acoustic guitarist at live shows. He writes all of his own material, blending older influences (such as Bob Dylan and The Beatles) with more contemporary themes. Essentially Pete Murray is soft, melodic Pop and Rock music, largely written about love and personal relationships.
His third studio album, Summer At Eureka, was released in May 2008. While 'Eureka draws inspiration from similar sources as his previous two albums, there is a marked shift in direction, with Murray writing and producing the album entirely himself, on his outback property - fittingly titled "Eureka".
