Oblivion Dust is a Japanese alternative rock band that first formed in 1996. They noticeably had numerous foreign musicians in the lineup over the years, including frontman Ken Lloyd, who is of half Japanese-half British ancestry and was born in London. Their original sound was very Western-influenced with strong influences from grunge bands, as well as influences from punk, nu metal and industrial. Oblivion Dust originally split in 2001, but reunited in 2007 and have been active ever since, although their sound now is much more akin to emo than their original more vast and heavy sound.
