Well known as the hyperactive 6'1 tattooed Japanese man band, Miyavi is a multi-instrumentalist musician who is mostly well known for his extremely distinctive guitar playing. At the age of 15, Takamasa Ishihara joined his first band, Loop, before moving to Tokyo at the age of 17, where he got his first big break, joining the band Dué le Quartz in 1999, going by the stage name of Miyabi.
