Lux Occulta

Hailing from Poland, Lux Occulta began as a black metal band, and released their debut album Forever Alone Immortal to someminor acclaim. Not to be downhearted, they returned a year later with Dionysos, an aggressive, chaotic album embracing boththe light and dark side of the Greek god of wine and culture. Their EP Major Arcana marked a turning point, as the band began to incorporate folk into their music. By the time of their latest effort, The Mother And The Enemy, they had become one of the premier Avant Garde Black metalacts of Eastern Europe. Blending in jazz, folk and death metal with ease into their preferred genre of black metal, they cancertainly be placed with the likes of Ulver and Arcturus in the areas of artistic experimentation.
