Formed in Goleta, CA in 1991 out of the ashes of local speed-metal band Section 8, Lagwagon's current (and likely permanent) lineup consists of Joey Cape (vox), Chris Flippin (guitar), Chris Rest (a.k.a. Leon, guitar), Jesse Buglione (bass), and Dave Raun (drums) and were the first band to sign and record for Fat Wreck Chords. Largely considered one of the creators and innovators of today's punk rock, the mighty Lag helped pioneer the mid-90's Epitaph/Fat sound of melodic, fast punk rock, and continue to set the standard for their countless imitators.
