Idina Menzel is an American singer born in May 1971. Prior to beginning a music career, Menzel was a stage actress, before making the switch in the middle of the 1990s. Her albums have consistently been well received but performed poorly commercially, until she got the voice acting role of Elsa in Frozen and received a Grammy award for the song Let It Go.
