Iannix Xenakis' experiments in sound and noise collages enabled him to become most likely the most popular, influential andsuccessful Greekcomposer ever. His primary interests were that of feedback, dissonance and the application of mathematicalmodels and algorithms in hiscompositions, because of this, he and some contemporaries are seen as forerunners of electronicmusic, a style of music that built on the ruins of hisown atonal, shattered and often noisy compositions.
