Ging Nang Boyz's debut albums 『君と僕の第三次世界大戦的恋愛革命』 and 『DOOR』--both released on 15 January 2005--were crossover successes that reached number 6 and 7 (respectively) in the Oricon charts, bringing them mainstream popularity along with a rabid, diehard fanbase. On 15 January 2014, Ging Nang Boyz released their long-awaited sophomore albums 『光のなかに立っていてね』 and 『BEACH』, but also announced that three of their four members had exited the group. Ging Nang Boyz nevertheless remained active with frontman 峯田和伸 (Mineta Kazunobu) as the sole official member, supported by a new lineup of backing musicians. The band proceeded to release a further five singles and held two concerts at the prestigious Nippon Budokan arena before finally releasing their next album 『ねえみんな大好きだよ』 on 21 October 2020. In 2021, Ging Nang Boyz's song 「少年少女」 was featured as the theme song in the anime series Sonny Boy, directed by Shingo Natsume of One-Punch Man fame. « hide
