Cocobat are an influential Japanese heavy metal band. Formed in 1991, Cocobat has a unique sound which blends traditional
heavy metal, groove metal, hardcore punk, and, starting with the release of their "I Versus I" album, alternative metal. Their
style can be compared to the highly influential American heavy metal band, White Zombie, as well as alt metal band

remains Cocobat's highest-charting album to date. Although the band's albums rank nowhere near there now, their breakthrough
