Catherine was an alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois, that first formed in 1985. By the early 1990’s, Catherine had managed to develop a small cult following for their semi-experimental noisy take on grunge. Bassist D’arcy Wretzky (of Smashing Pumpkins fame) was even a member of the group, recording with the band for their final album “Hot Sake & Bedtime Stories”, and Catherine then ended up disbanding by the end of 1998. In 2007, most of the members of Catherine reunited and formed Bugglette, and Catherine itself reunited for one-night-only as an opening act for Smashing Pumpkins.
