Bunny DeBarge was a singer from Detroit, Michigan. First getting her break as the sole female vocalist in the family R&B band DeBarge, she, alongside her brother El, went solo in 1985. Although El released his first solo album in 1986, Bunny wouldn’t release hers until 1987. That album, “In Love”, was a commercial flop, and Bunny ended up largely retiring from the music industry afterwards, only doing studio work since.
