Bantam was an alternative rock band from NYC that first formed in 2000. It was formed by frontwoman Gina Volpe immediately
after the dissolution of her previous group, the legendary all-female punk band Lunachicks. It also featured members from The
Heroine Sheiks (George Porfiris) and Psychotica (Pete Asarisi). Bantam released two albums before disintegrating by 2011.
