The Pillows
The Pillows is a fun energetic band from japan.. they got their big break when they were chosen to preform all the music in the hit show Furi Curi (AKA Fooly Cooly & FLCL) They sing in japanese and play a lot of instrumentals.. The guitarist can SOLO like no other.. they can be loud, emotional, anything really.. Although they didn't do all the songs on this cd most people count this as a The Pillows cd

2. Ride On Shooting Star
Immidiatly such a great song, japanese vocals (apart from the chorus) The guitar is pretty catchy and the vocals in chorus are pretty good.. this song is so catchy that you'll be catching youself singing weird japanese sounding words soon enough :thumb: 5/5
3. Sad Sad Kitty
A louder song, more distortion, not better in my opinion.. fun solo somewhere in the middle.. this is a 2 minute instrumental.. it sounds like them just jamming, trying out.. pretty cool, not amazing 3/5
4. Carnival
Another instrumental one and a half minutes long.. this one isn't even that intresting and gets boring quite fast, in the tv show it is relevant, on the cd it's not that cool 2.5/5
5. Runners High
luckely this one is cool, cool catchy guitar riff, pretty pop-ish but fun.. vocals again, not a lot, but some, just enough.. fun short little song 3.5/5
6. Instant Music
Another REAL song so to say.. an guitar with some effects on it.. sounds good.. vocals are pretty cool, semi-english chorus again.. this song is quite good and i this is a realy full 3 and a half minute song again.. sounds good to me, quite catchy 4.3/5
7. Stalker
What a song this is, it's called stalker and thats the feel this song has to it.. it's like you're stalking someone.. it's pretty loud, a catchy bass.. unlike the other song this song doesn't seem to need the vocals, this song is good without them.. i like this song, really good 4.6/5
8. Rever's Edge - Shinkichi Mitsumune
A slow song, it doesn't sound like the pillows, good mood setter for the show.. not that spectacular though.. 2.6/5
9. Stalker Goes to Babylon
Chaotic.. fun.. little metal-ish.. (instrumental) 3/5
10. One Life
This song is cool again, you can imagine what the lyrics are about even though you don't know what he's singing.. it's pretty happy and nice to listen to.. it's a little pop-ish but i like :) 4.5/5
11. Pain
Quite boring, it's a piano and a guitar.. it doesn't have that 'the pillows' sound that i love and got this cd for.. it's not that great.. 2/5
12. Kabalevsky {Clown} - Gallop
A very cartoonish song, fun instumental, orchestral sounding song 3.5/5
13. Hybrid Rainbow
It's a pretty good song, and it works great in the show.. but even out of context this song is sweet and nice to listen too.. the vocals in the chorus are pretty good.. 4/5
14. Selfish-B - Shinkichi Mitsumune
Weird bongo's at the start.. an intrumental song, it's pretty short, pretty unintresting if you ask me.. 2/5
15. Pink - Shinkichi Mitsumune
A weird trance song.. it's really really weird.. it has squiky girl vocals singing NaNaNaNaNa a lot.. i don't recommend this song.. it's scary and weird :p 2/5
16. Beautiful Morning With You
ANOTHER instrumental, but with the pillows sound on it.. so it's ok.. it's better then the previous 2 songs.. it's pretty nice sounding and there is nothing wrong with this song 4/5
17. Sleepy Head
This song is chaos.. in the show hell breaks lose at this point, and yes, you can hear that quite well.. scary song.. very 'fuzzy' sounding.. pretty short too.. 3/5
18. Bran-New Lovesong
Starts of with some strumming.. AGAIN no vocals.. starting to get pretty boring but of course the songs are made to be played with the show.. i don't really LOVE this song but it's ok.. for an instrumental 3/5
19. Come Down
I didn't expect vocals, and no they didn't come either.. too bad..
this is a metal sorta song.. pretty cool 3/5

21. Little Busters
This song is cool.. it has vocals.. it is really cool.. after all the other songs we just heard this one has vocals and the fun pop-ish addictive music sound to it.. the vocals are pretty corny... but that doesn't matter, they are mostly japanese anyway... Fun song.. i like it :) nice ending of the album too 4.5/5
This cd has to many instrumental tracks and not nearly all the songs are THAT catchy but it has it's highlights and some songs are defenitly worth checking out (ride on shooting star, little busters) I listened to some other The Pillows music before getting this and i am a little dissapointed.. a song like Crazy Sunshine is more representitive for them.. but back to the point
