Dirge's first album, "Down, Last Level" was a largely instrumental atmospheric sludge album with industrial overtones. I consider Blight a transitional album where they began to formulate the sound that they would later perfect. They've discarded the industrial elements and began to embrace the post-metal behemoths that they were to become four years later. This isn't bad, but it doesn't measure up to their next three releases. This is worth hearing for a fan, but not as a first experience with the band.
