While not reaching the experimental heights that other Black Twilight Circle artists do, Muknal's self-titled demo still has a lot going for it. Vocalist Impious is as adept at delivering rumbling, sometimes animalistic growls as he is at more typical shrieked highs, and while the music may have one or two 'clumpy' transitions, there's a distinct death metal influence here which makes Muknal feel suitably cavernous, lent partially by the excellent usage of keys.
