2.0 poor | Acanthus | February 9th 12 | With We're Here with You Julien-K hark back to The Killers Hot Fuss, almost
completely leaving behind their previous style. Unlike Hot Fuss the majority of the
albums 12 songs are rather laid back vocal and synth affairs, causing a mass of downtempto
moments that are rarely broken up. The wonderful vocal hooks found throughout Death To
Analog are absent here; backing vocalist Brandon Belsky left due to the bands new
direction. Julien-K have slipped into mediocrity, steer clear.

4.0 excellent | TheTruEZHarry | August 19th 12 | A worthy follow-up to a great debut. The decision to push for a more indieclub sound may throw some people off, but it's a logical direction, the hooks are in abundance, and Ryan's already strong vocals have only improved. Recommended.
