3.7 great | Erwann S. STAFF | July 4th 23 | It's dark jazz innit: slow, smoky, ominous jazz instrumentation delivering pulmonary pulses, with slight drone linings that are also helping to install that moody vibe.

3.5 great | MisterTornado | December 8th 11 | Dale Cooper Quartet and the Dictaphones take their hazy, barely there interpretation of Jazz to bleak, subterranean levels. Like Bohren & Der Club of Gore this is experimental music with a pulse, the aching drones explicitly scoring the haunted majesty of dusk in downtown wherever. The album plays at a lucid tempo, where slowly drifting tones of repressed Jazz instrumentation prove that ultimately, there is beauty in sadness.
