At the surface, hardcore is a very one dimensional genre, especially for people who don't follow it as much as fans like myself do. Most leaders of the genre sound very much alike musically and that turns people away from really getting into hardcore, but to really get a sense of what these bands are all about you have to look deeper. Lead by it's lyricism and passion, hardcore remains, as cliche as it sounds, one of the trust genres of music alive. Walkers, as an up and coming hardcore group, run into trouble with separating themselves. They feature a very flat sound that rarely tends to want to be different. While I've never had a chance to read lyrics or really study the band, musically, there isn't anything really interesting. At only 9 minutes in length, the EP gets across what this is really trying to do, and that isn't much. The acoustic ending in 'The Broken' is a nice change in pace while the EP's closing chant borders between generic and interesting, there are actually a few moments that are pretty cool. Beyond that though, nothing here really gives you a reason to do all you can to listen to Walkers. Maybe they can do something bigger in the future, but for now sit in the background.
