Ya know, I'm a huge Oldfield fan and all, but Tubular Bells 2003 had me disappointed,
immensely. I thought for sure they might be slightly reminiscent towards his early 70's
masterpiece (which was the very first Tubular Bells, composed of two, epic blissful tracks),
but instead, all I got was 14 tracks of pure nothingness. The songs themselves were around
0:30 seconds-4:00 minutes long, mostly all compromising of a "specific genre." Like for
instance, his experimentation with "Latin Guitars" and his other complete abomination of a
track called "Jazz" were both prime examples of him fiddling around with the genres and
sounds, but really, they were a mess. He's done better, and this one doesn't show it.
