every song is about smoking weed, doing things he doesnt do in real life, and cutting school. would make for a fun record, but unfortunately mac miller isnt anything spectacular when it comes to elaborate rhymes and word play.

A fun record to pop in during the summer. Immature at times, but it reflects the environment he likely grew up in. Vapid lyrics are present, but shows a decent ability to flow and rhyme.

Miller was at his most youthful on K.I.D.S. (no shit), and it's both for the best (it's fresh shit, "Nikes on My Feet" and "Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza" are peak uni stoner pop rap jams) and the worst (he forces that stoned swaggy boi persona way too fucking much, and there are way too many of those horrible 2000s pop rap hooks).
