4.0 excellent | Do I have somfing n my face? | February 8th 23 | probably the most famous allegro in all music, it's as charming as it is annoying as you've heard it 1000 times before, the most famous pop song of the classical era. then a much less famous andante that is easy to the ear enough and does increase into a minor climax, a rather diminutive and forgettable allegretto, and one of mozart's strongest pieces of all time in the finale allegro, lively and to the heart with a piercing as it is frenzied climax

4.5 superb | musichub | October 1st 22 | The first and last movements are household melodies, the former being Mozart's most famous. If the middle two movements seem unusually unremarkable by comparison, it's much more a testament to the vibrance they're surrounded by than it is any defects with those (competently done) passages. Mozart's writing never sounded more purely enjoyable than it did here.
