The tricky thing with these sterile wonky mellowcore projects is that after a while of listening you start nitpicking the good things. "But this hook is kinda nice. But they certainly play their instruments well. But the mix is decent. But this moment kinda slaps." Until you come back to it and all those same moments just strike as supremely irritating and drawn out. Count to that the horrid synthetic production choices and hilariously unself-aware lyrics, and yep, it's Capstan album alright.

A post-hardcore band?s third album that is well over an hour in length and really does nothing to be memorable from front to back. The beginning 15% of the album feels a lot more interesting than the 85% of everything else on display here. When the band dabbles into easycore is when everything shines here, otherwise this is a weak and underwhelming fusion of post-hardcore and alternative rock.

these guys should write full albums, then pick the best 4-5 songs and release as an EP.. i enjoy the singles but getting into a whole album thats over an hour long from these guys is not easy to do..
