4.0 excellent | foxxxy | January 23rd 24 | Australian noise-makers Bloodloss (later self-described as 'junk jazz') went through a bunch of lineup changes during their run(s) as a band. This first release features vocalist Sharron Weatherill front and center and she is crushing it from the start "WAKAKAA! WAHHAUUHH!" Sharron also did lead vocals for the follow-up Human Skin Suit. This is the only Bloodloss release to feature the legend Charles Tolnay (Grong Grong, King Snake Roost) on guitar and he fits in incredibly well. Being able to hear Charles Tolnay and Renestair EJ play off each other is a pretty special thing. This first release was cassette-only (with a small number reissued on vinyl in 2017) so it's not very easy to find, but if you find it, pick it up. Favorite songs: Drag the Lake, Dark Boy, What's Your Secret
