3.0 good | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | December 26th 23 | Flamingods depart to an extent from their janky multicultural guitar licks and stray into mild pop traffic. The album thus loses any dominant personality and sort of cozies into a kind of background vibes. There are still plenty neat exotic moments and instrumental passages that still show the band as skillful musicians, but the backgroundness of it all is somewhat underwhelming.
