Wowza, Sweeping Promises really scaled up the down-scaled sound. They are oh so DIY to the bone with this one, which is both charming and somewhat tedious at the same time. At least they more or less knew the risks of it, making a relatively short record with a lot of quirky tunes that fit the sound well.
