"Alyosha" is one of the best songs I've heard this year. The rest of the album is alright, but not as intense.

Susanne's most uplifting record also sees her lose the grip on song-writing for the sake of an airy, cozy skin-deep vagueness that only half the time translates into a really inspiring listen. It's a little bluesy, it's a little chamber, it's a little dreamy, but it's rarely a head-to-heels well planned out record.

Typically Susanne this record: most of it is absolutely gorgeous, and the filler really is boring. Good thing she fills most of her record with sublime songs carried by her sublime voice. Would have nevertheless preferred a more climactic way to end this record, as the last couple of tunes really are dragging this more than it should.
