3.5 great | ajcollins15 | March 29th 23 | Caroline Rose still comes through with some of the most interesting ideas when it comes to pop music but can easily lose focus here and there. On her new album, she explores more folk and psychedelic instrumentation with her tongue-in-cheek lyricism. But it can come off flat or underwhelming in a few of the middle tracks. But other tracks like the opener and ?Jill Says? are extremely lush and progressive-sounding pop songs and it?s always great to see what she does with them. I continue to hope she will blossom into a truly amazing pop artist, but she still has some artistic hurdles to jump over before that?s possible.
