3.5 great | ajcollins15 | May 12th 23 | The eighth album from the California-based MC really shows a strong progression into jazz rap and jazz-funk. The soaring saxophone and the hypnotic bass lines add so much texture. Plus, the abstract and conscious rapping makes you come back for more every time you listen. However, there is a problem with one dimensionality when you go through 50+ minutes of music. Everything starts to bleed together. Once you get past the halfway mark. There is still a lot to appreciate and be hopeful for an even stronger listening experience on the next release.
