3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | May 9th 23 | Petite Noir's second album is a little too indecisive of what it wants to do, but does most of it well. At a very brief runtime, the stylistic and energy shifts can be a little jarring, often amounting to something akin to a compilation. But heck, individually the tracks are a lot of fun,so if cohesion is not a make-or-break point for you, this is great.

3.0 good | ajcollins15 | April 20th 23 | The Belgium-born artist comes through with another helping of artistic post-punk and afrobeat music that feels like more of a step sideways then it does a step forward. There have always been some very enjoyable elements to a Petite Noir release. Whether it be the punchy and enchanting vocals and instrumentals or the experimentation that goes on from track to track. But there are also issues of tracks just not sounding as explorative or fun as others.
