Review Summary: Fellowship of the mostly good-good.
The Saberlight Chronicles is as bad as good. Whether it’s good-bad or bad-good, the bad parts are not good, but it’s good that the album is not so bad, and more good than bad, but I’d also say it’s good-bad in how badly good it is, while not all good, yet mostly really good. Akin to the second sentence, the album is neither that good nor that bad yet is still quite *good*. The singing makes or breaks the experience within, it is quite nasally and therefore bad, yet he sings good - very good. And yet nasally singing is usually seen as bad, so it’s kind of good-bad yet very good because he can sing high without barely even trying - he’s quite an impressive singer, and sounds pretty good if good-bad or somewhat bad, but man is he so good while bad.
Speaking of good, bad things, this is a symphonic power metal album. Symphonies are good, but the good-bad version here is Disneypowercore similar to Twilight Force. It’s quite good, sounds very good, yet is bad because it’s so cheesy it’s bad/bad, but is also good so kinda good-ish/bad but mostly good. The combination of bad-good singing, and so bad it’s good symphonic portion makes a very good-bad, but mostly good album. Oh, and it’s heavy too with very good, good-good choruses aplenty, which is not bad - good! Indeed, the good, good choruses are so good they are good-good! Oh goodie! Good, very not bad, yet bad-good album in conclusion which is sorta good yet sorta bad so bad-good/good-bad but mostly good which is not bad.
In conclusion: good album, not bad.
