Their set at Roadburn Festival is one of the best music experiences of my life. The addition of
two drummers and an enormous sound mix was just plain overwhelming. The recorded version doesn't
quite reach the same heights for me, mostly because it is a way more straight electronic sounding
album production-wise than it was live, but it is still one hell of a collaboration between two of
my favourite musicians in their respective genres.

This is really excellent. Much, much more than just CoL + electronics. The production is massive and clear, which
really allows the finer detail and synth/guitar layering to shine, and there is a genuine sense of collaboration
throughout. Most importantly, it all comes together to create an album of genuine depth and atmosphere.

James Kent of darksynth phenom Perturbator, and Johannes Persson of atmospheric sludge metals larges act Cult of Luna, come together to create a dark and harrowing synthwave and sludge metal outfit that might sound cool at first, but much of the issues I have with Cult of Luna plague this album. Tracks that drone on for far too long, even for atmospheric sludge metal. Passages that build pretty much to nowhere, and an overall vibe that loses its muster faster than a diamond in acid. It?s not a bad album by any means because James really creates some incredible synth backdrops that carry this album.

The songs a bit too similar to rate this higher but overall this is a great atmospheric and unique album. Synths are epic and sounds like an movie soundtrack.

I would agree with others that many of these tracks just blend together. However, everything here is deeply atmospheric and delightfully dread-inducing. Plus, where else are you going to hear something like this?

was hoping some fresh ideas and not just electro COL but here i am. unnecessarily long and samesies throughout, but each song has some small lasting effect that sounded good. last 2 songs are great.
