3.4 great | Erwann S. STAFF | August 26th 22 | Extremely cute lil record this one. Folk pop matches extremely well with the nouvelle chanson francaise aesthetic, Pomme's voice elastically navigating through tunes that effortlessly go from grand to cutesy. Thing is, it really sounds like a debut album, Pomme showing what she can do without fully committing to a specific aesthetic that perfectly fits her.

3.5 great | Bedex | October 13th 21 | I think I should listen to this one again another time - and it'll be happily so because this is cute and quite good - because it is quite weird that I really liked the first few tracks and the last few but didn't really click with most of the middle section. I do like that she goes for a lot of different vibes and it bodes well for the future, but i do feel like in this particular album it feels more like practice and that the record would be a lot stronger if it were shorter and focused on a few of the better songs. Her vocal performance is always excellent and is quite distinctly recognisable, which leads to a problem I frequently have with singer-songwriter records that you just get fatigued of hearing the same delivery on a lot of very different songs. I do think her style fits best on more lighthearted songs or cute little ballads, but some of the more intense or sadder tracks do work well too. I don't really know what to think, I'll stop rambling, but she is for sure an artist I like and will be happy to listen back to in the future. 3.6
