Have been massively underwhelmed by everything these guys have done for like the past decade but surprisingly I'm really loving this. Mother Mother works best somewhere in between sugary pop music and artsy indie rock. When they try to firmly pick one or the other the results are often lacklustre but this record finally tows that line perfectly. rOr maybe I'm just glad the girls have a slightly bigger role here. Either way, solid record.
