3.5 great | Antonius | November 6th 21 | Thunder's thirteen album is an honest and uncompromising rocker that finds the Brits sounding enraged and thoroughly energized. All The Right Noises is fuelled by anger and frustration and the agitated opening track "Last One Out Turn Off the Lights" touching upon Brexit was the most appropriate track to set the pace. Follow-up "Destruction" which is probably the heaviest track on the record, has a slower tempo and a propulsive guitar riff talking about depression and mental illness. Despite the rather serious topics touched, the album also contains some feel-good rockers such as "Going to Sin City" and the cheeky rock n' rollers "You're Gonna Be My Girl" and "She's a Millionairess", both with their classy backing vocals. Recommendations: "Last One Out Turn Off the Lights", "Going to Sin City", "The Smoking Gun", "She's a Millionairess".
