3.9 excellent | Erwann S. STAFF | February 9th 21 | One of the most ambitious recent French rap records. Designed as an audio film, interludes give background to the story thanks to Jose Luccioni (French Al Pacino dubber), while SCH tells mafioso stories on top of mandoline-led orchestral trap beats, courtesy of Toulouse collective Katrina Squad. Gotta say, story-wise this isn't revolutionizing anything (unlike Laylow's Trinity for example), but the atmosphere is absolutely gripping. It sounds like modern Mediterranean music.
